ACDP not party to group contesting IEC’s election results

Jun 6, 2024

The ACDP notes with concern that a group of political parties, who contested the 2024 National and Provincial Elections (2024 NPE), have included our name as being party to their grouping that is contesting, inter alia, the IEC’s election results announcement on Sunday, 2 June 2024, and calling for the elections to be rerun.

The ACDP does not support their efforts to prevent the declaration of the results on Sunday, 2 June 2024, and does not support their call for a rerun of NPE 2024 for the reason that it is unaffordable to the national fiscus and even contesting political parties.
