ACDP ready for elections following successful manifesto launch

Mar 9, 2024

The African Christian Democratic Party today successfully launched its manifesto of hope for the upcoming 2024 National and Provincial Government Elections.

The elections manifesto carried the punchy slogan, S.O.S “It’s Time For … SERVICE, ORDER, SAFETY.”

ACDP members from across the nine provinces, supporters, VIP guests, MPs, MPLs and Councillors converged on the Ellis Park Indoor Arena in Doornfontein, Johannesburg, to receive the ACDP’s governance blueprint from their Leader and President, Rev Kenneth Meshoe MP.

Rev Meshoe took to the stage after participating in song and dance with special guest artists, Pastor Lungi Ndala and Ayanda Ntanzi, including all those in attendance, and proceeded to deliver an inspiring manifesto speech to South Africans from all walks of life.

He the crowd in attendance, “For how much longer should the suffering masses, who are poor, vulnerable, and failed by their government, cry out for help? How much longer must they send out an S.O.S to South African political leaders?

“The acronym S.O.S is generally known as a distress signal, a call for help. Some believe it means ‘Save Our Souls’, while others believe it means ‘Save Our Ship’ – particularly when it comes from ships. The ACDP has heard the S.O.S from the people of South Africa! They want SERVICE, ORDER, and SAFETY!

“We all want a South Africa with a vibrant, healthy economy; where jobs and opportunities are in abundance, and where everyone is able to benefit and feel safe. The ACDP stands ready to deliver on this!”

The occasion also marked the 30th birthday of the ACDP. After engaging the media in a Q&A session, Rev Meshoe then cut the ACDP’s three-layered birthday cake.

With the ACDP’s 2024 NGE Manifesto now officially launched, the way is paved for an exciting campaigning period that will set the mood for voting day on 29 May 2024 – a day the ACDP awaits in anticipation.
