About Otniel Jooste

Otniel Jooste is a committed community leader, pastor, and entrepreneur serving the people of Stellenbosch through the African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP).

With four years of service on the Municipal Public Accounts Committee (MPAC) at Stellenbosch Municipality, he has championed accountability, transparency, and responsible governance.

Otniel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology and is the Founding Pastor of Commission Christian Church, where he has faithfully served for 14 years, investing in people, strengthening families, and helping individuals discover purpose and direction in life.

In addition to his ministry work, he started a branding business nine years ago, reflecting his belief in hard work, entrepreneurship, and economic empowerment.

He has been married to his wife, Tarren Jooste, for 14 years, and together they are raising their three daughters, Ava, Yadah, and Shiloh. His commitment to family life fuels his passion to build communities where families are supported, children are protected, and future generations can thrive.

Otniel stands for principled leadership, ethical governance, and practical solutions that uplift communities. His vision is to see Stellenbosch flourish through integrity in leadership, opportunities for families and young people, and a government that truly serves its people.

“Leadership is not about position; it’s about serving people with integrity and purpose.”

An Opportunity For Genuine Change

Far too many of our municipalities are failing in their duty to protect, maintain and build our communities. They are crumbling under chronic service delivery failures, rampant financial mismanagement, increasingly wasteful and irregular expenditure, and are being run by elected councillors who seem to treat their councils like personal feeding troughs. You deserve better!

The African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) has many solutions to ensure that municipalities thrive, and keep our communities safe, healthy, well-maintained and clean.

At the ballot box on 4 November 2026, vote for the Stellenbosch and South Africa you deserve. VOTE ACDP and elect to your Metro or municipality capable, trustworthy men and women like Otniel Jooste, who will serve you and your community with integrity, excellence, and care.
