For Council: Msunduzi Municipality
Ward 32, KwaZulu-Natal

About Llewellyn Carrington

Community and Civic Engagement

Llewellyn Carrington is standing as candidate for the African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) in Ward 32, Msunduzi.

He is part of the Cross Connect Network in Ward 32 where 90% of the churches in the area all work together under one umbrella.

He formed part of the original group that formed the Ward’s Ratepayers organisation, establishing its constitution and getting it registered at Msunduzi.

He has also been a part of the Woodlands Neighbourhood Watch for more than 15 years and it was through this association that community asked him to lead the resistance to the 2021 riots.

Llewellyn serves on the Isabel Beardmore old home committee and currently oversees their maintenance. He was part of the committee that ensured that the previous illegal board was replaced and a new board established.

Llewellyn sits on the PSC Woodlands Primary rebuild, representing the community in the Portfolio of Infrastructure.

Vision for Local Government
  • I will strive for unity in Ward 32 as I have represented the church as a collective, and I will continue to do so.
  • I have represented the community at Ratepayers for about 12 years, and will take that to the next level, working both in council and various civic organisations.
  • I have served on the Neighbourhood Watch for a very long time and will continue that work to ensure that our residents are safe and secure.
  • I will advocate for the introduction of sound Biblical principles back into our schools and into our learning institutions.
  • Where common ground exists, I will work with other political parties to collectively see the advancement of our community realised.
  • The Bible is my first constitution and foundation. I believe any other constitution is subject to it.
  • To be approachable and honest, acknowledge where I have erred, correct these actions and grow from there.
  • As a servant of the people and of God whom I honour,  this is, to the best of my ability, my solemn promise to you.

An Opportunity For Genuine Change

Far too many of our municipalities are failing in their duty to protect, maintain and build our communities. They are crumbling under chronic service delivery failures, rampant financial mismanagement, increasingly wasteful and irregular expenditure, and are being run by elected councillors who seem to treat their councils like personal feeding troughs. You deserve better!

The African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) has many solutions to ensure that municipalities thrive, and keep our communities safe, healthy, well-maintained and clean.

At the ballot box on 4 November 2026, vote for the Msunduzi and South Africa you deserve. VOTE ACDP and elect to your Metro or municipality capable, trustworthy men and women like Llewellyn Carrington, who will serve you and your community with integrity, excellence, and care.
